ALL ABOARD!

HEY YOU TWO CONGRATU-FREAKING-LATIONS

Are you thinking of taking a honeymoon on a Cruise ship to some stunning destination in The South Pacific, maybe New Zealand or even cruising to the top and back of Australia?

What ever your plans YAYYYYYYYYYY!

HOW EXCITING!!

This image was of me feeling a bit Spesh on our way to Sydney which was the first part of our Honeymoon journey 🤩

I wasn't a Celebrant back then but it was on my mind for when we got back.

However, did you know that you can get married aboard a ship here in Australia and overseas?

I KNOW RIGHT!!

AUSTRALIAN WATERS

As long as you have an Australian Authorised Marriage Celebrant, religious Celebrant or someone authorised to marry you in Australia on board with you and you are still in Australian waters at the time.

You can read your vows whilst surrounded by the refreshing salt air 🌊🌊 and the mesmerising blue horizon in the background.

HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT?

A lot of couples have been known to do the deed while the ship 🚢 is still docked in port, then the Celebrant hops off and away you sail.

UNLESS, YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CELEBRANT FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES 😜😜

Which I'm sure I am speaking for most Celebrants we’d be more then happy to oblige your request of our attendance on the WHOLE cruise!

GO ON ASK 😳

then as long as you are married before exiting Aussie waters or when reentering you are good to go ❤️

INTERNATIONAL WATERS

Now getting married in international waters is a little harder because contrary to belief not all Captains have the power or the qualifications to marry you anywhere unless they have done their educational time in their native country or they have access to temporary permits in certain countries.

Once again:

ASK THE CRUISE LINE IF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE?

I don’t know about you but most of the Captains of ships I’ve been on have a foreign accent

☝🏽 French Captains oui oui 🤩

Am I right?

Look it’s not for everyone but if it’s for you

Contact the Cruise line you’ve booked with and ask if they can accommodate your pending nuptials.

Get them to send you all the details so you can look over it all.

Remember each cruise will be different so if you have not booked one yet make sure you ask before you book.

Last but not least contact your Celebrant (to ask for those passport details) I mean see if they are available for your date.

LOCK THEM IN

and get packing baby because you’re about to say I do with one of the most spectacular backdrops mother nature could conjure up ..

BON VOYAGE to the happy couple 🥂

Much love &

See you down the Aisle 😘
